Barbara Landes is painter and printmaker living and working in Jersey City. For current work, please see her web site: barbaralandes.com She has exhibited in many juried and invited shows. She is also a children's book writer and illustrator. A selection of recent prints was recently on view at Mt Sinai Hospital in Manhattan (2001). She has participated in the last four annual Jersey City Open Studios Tours. In 1998, she was shown in the Harmony Hill Gallery in Baltimore and the National Juried Exhibition at the New Jersey Center for the Arts in Summit. In May, 1999, she did a fellowship at the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, Vermont. In March, 1999, her first one woman show was held in the Rotunda Gallery of the Jersey City City Hall. In 1997, Barbara received her MFA in Painting from the Graduate School of Figurative Art of the New York Academy of Art. |
Paul Sullivan is a sculptor working abstractly, concerned primarily with structure. He has participated in the last four annual Jersey City Open Studios Tours. He was selected to show in the 1998 Printmakers national biennial in Pittsburgh. In May, 1999, he went to the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, Vermont on a Geralding R. Dodge Foundation Fellowship. A piece of his was accepted for the 1999 Collage Artists of AmericaÕs annual juried exhibition at the Brand Gallery in Glendale, California. In 2000, he spent March to August at the Vermont Studio Center on a work fellowship.
Paul studied at the Art Students League in New York for several years, monitored for several instructors and received a merit scholarship. In 1996, he received a MFA in Drawing from the Graduate School of Figurative Art of the New York Academy of Art. |
